SAP Basis Services
Automatic error handling when a job is aborted is desirable and useful in most cases. The conscious processing and consideration of error situations in job chains - also at step level - can help to reduce manual effort. Error situations should be catchable: If they are non-critical elements, the following job can perhaps be started anyway. In the case of critical errors, a new attempt should be made or an alert issued so that an administrator can intervene manually. Simple batch jobs are usually not capable of this. The goal of an automated environment is not to have to react manually to every faulty job.

Administrators often need to replicate part or all of a database, for example, to create a system backup or test an upgrade before putting it into production. In the past, this was surprisingly difficult to do with most databases. With HANA, replication works instantly and provides richer functionality and better control than previous databases.

The core of SAP Basis is the application layer with one or more application servers and a message server. The message server is used for communication between the application servers and transmits jobs between them. The application layer communicates with the database layer on the one hand and the presentation layer on the other. The applications on the application server request the required data from the database, process it and prepare it for the user, who displays it in his Graphical User Interface (GUI) via the presentation layer. Conversely, the application server passes information that the user enters via the GUI on to the database.

However, you should check them anyway, as in rare cases follow-up errors may occur. Larger 4 Serious errors that must be fixed before you can successfully complete the commit. Confirm Queue Usage Confirm the successful insertion of the Queue in your system. This ensures that additional support packages can be used in the future. Without this confirmation, it is not possible to insert additional support packages. If you have not yet confirmed successful support packages, you will be prompted to confirm these support packages when upgrading your system. Prerequisites You have successfully imported one or more Support Packages. Procedure Confirm successful insertion of the Support Packages into your system with the Support Package.

Tools such as "Shortcut for SAP Systems" complement missing functions in the SAP basis area.

In deciding on one of the above concepts, the SAP basis must be included for the evaluation of various technological and operational aspects, which offers the possibility to develop a sound decision.
