The Security Audit Log (SAL) is one of the most important elements when it comes to security in your SAP landscape. With SAL critical and security relevant activities in SAP systems can be recorded and evaluated. The settings in SAL are relevant for secure continuous operation.
Inheritance Hierarchy with Master Roles and Associated Roles If you have created multiple derived roles, a simple overview of all "related" roles can be convenient. To do this, call any derived role, or the master role, and then click the "Inheritance Hierarchy" button. You will now get a detailed overview of which roles are assigned to which master role.
What is SAP Basis Operation?
The application layer is the central component of the SAP R/3 system. This layer is therefore also referred to by SAP as the actual base system. Within the layer there are application servers and a message server.
The presentation layer is based on the software components, collectively called "SAP GUI". This includes several possible implementation variants: for example, SAP GUI for HTML (Web GUI) and Web Dynpro for ABAP (WDA). Since the respective GUI depends entirely on the concrete application, the presentation layer looks very different in practice.
