Redesign of SAP® Authorizations
To release jobs - own jobs or jobs of other users - a permission for the object S_BTCH_JOB with the expression JOBACTION = RELE is still required. In running operations, scheduled batch jobs may be cancelled because a step user is deleted or locked. With the help of the BTCAUX09 programme, you can check jobs as an administrator to see if they can be cancelled in the future. If you want to run these jobs under another step user, you can change them either with the transaction SM37 or with the report BTC_MASS_JOB_CHANGE.
Create a report transaction for the report that is called in the background job. Set up the report transaction in the transaction SE93 and assign the report RHAUTUPD_NEW as a programme. Start the authorisation trace by setting the auth/ authorisation_trace profile parameter to Y or F if you want to work with filters (see tip 38, "Use the SU22 and SU24 transactions correctly"). Now run the job to collect permission checks on the permission trace. Your permission checks should now be visible in the STUSOBTRACE transaction. Now maintain the permission proposal values for your report transaction in transaction SU24 by entering the transaction code in the appropriate field. You will find that no values are maintained. Now switch to Change Mode. You can add your permission suggestions from the trace using the Object > Insert objects from Permissions Trace > Local (see Tip 40, "Use Permission Trace to Determine Suggest Values for Custom Developments"). Add the suggestion values for each displayed authorization object. Now create a PFCG role that includes the report transaction permission and maintain the open permission fields. Then test whether the job can be run with the permissions from the PFCG role.
Object S_BTCH_NAM and S_BTCH_NA1 (use of foreign users in Steps)
Different organisational fields are used in each module. Since there are many interfaces between the modules, the main organisational fields of the modules must be linked. However, there are also organisational fields that are only relevant for the respective module. All object fields used as organisational units are listed in the USORG table. You can call this table through the SE16 transaction. Alternatively, in the selection screen of the AGR_1252 table, the value help of the VARBL field also shows the corresponding name for the respective organisation fields.
Create a message to be displayed to the user when permissions checks fail. The tests in this User-Exit are relatively free. This allows you to read table entries, store data from the ABAP application's memory, or read data that is already there. However, you are limited by the interface parameters of the application. In our example, these are the BKPF and BSEG structures and the system variables. If the information from the interface parameters is not sufficient for the test, you can use your programming skills and knowledge about the interdependencies of substitution and validation in finance to find additional data. The following coding allows you to identify the selected offset document entries that you can find in the POSTAB table (with the RFOPS structure) in the SAPMF05A programme. This way you can find many additional data. It is important that the supporting programme processes the User-Exits.
Authorizations can also be assigned via "Shortcut for SAP systems".
The PFCG role must now also be adjusted, otherwise the newly configured area start pages or the logical links will not be visible.
Dialogue users are intended for use by natural persons who log in to the SAP system via SAP GUI (dialogue login).
