The concept of SAP MaxAttention
Proven secure connections and data for highly regulated industries
In April and May 2014, the German-speaking SAP User Group (DSAG) e. V. interviewed 389 members on the topic Maintenance/Service & Support. Key findings are: The use of Standard Support and Enterprise Support remains the same in German-speaking countries. Enterprise Support requires more information about the benefits. DSAG members are largely up-to-date with their ERP systems. Over half use the latest versions of the Enhancement Packages. DSAG Survey SAP SupportThe relationship between Standard Support and Enterprise Support is, as in previous years, almost balanced. Austria deviates here with a significantly stronger use of Enterprise Support. "In German-speaking countries, users deliberately choose a support model and stick to it. The value is stable over the last few years and the readiness to change is low," comments Andreas Oczko, DSAG's Executive Board Member Operations/Service & Support. Only two percent of the support experts surveyed rely on third-party providers. Without a maintenance contract, one percent of the participants will be paid.

Combination of On Premise and Private Cloud as a goal
What are we doing here to achieve automation? How do we make these worlds work smoothly together? Simple: In principle, each of the participants stays in his world, which does not have to leave it, because by integrating SAP support into the IT support or the ITSM tool (SAP-ITSM integration), we manage to ensure that the SAP user does not have to go into another system to report a problem, but can ask for help and give his comments on it at the push of a button. On the other hand, support will receive the correct information to respond appropriately to the problem or failure. He sees the user information, runtime information, screenshots, everything that is technically necessary to classify this ticket correctly and of course to solve it quickly. A classic win-win situation has thus arisen.
In order to continue to communicate with the backbone and to use the services of SAP, it is necessary to move to this new infrastructure by January 2020. This requires the following update: ・ SAP Solution Manager SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SPS07 or SPS08 (recommended) ・ Focused Run: Focused Run 2.00. The download via the Note Wizard (Transaction SNOTE) will only work if the notes are digitally signed. Note the SAP hints here.
Tools such as "Shortcut for SAP Systems" are extremely useful for SAP support.
At times of high utilisation, such as end-of-year inventory, AMS team members also support.
This also affects the complexity of ERP systems and IT architectures.
